Brent Garcia

BRENT GARCIA

Brent Garcia, MTPT, LMT, LAc, began his training as a bodyworker in 2010, but the inspiration for his career path began much earlier. A competitive soccer player in college and beyond, Brent began to suffer chronic pain in his Achilles tendon when he was in his late twenties. The pain made running difficult and left him limping for two to three days after any game or practice. He consulted an orthopedic surgeon, but the doctor was unable to help.

Eventually, it was therapeutic massage, sports massage, and bodywork that not only produced the results Brent was looking for but also prompted him to start training as a practitioner.

Brent trained as a myofascial trigger point therapist under Mary Biancalana from 2010 to 2011. His journey as a holistic healer continued at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where he completed coursework to become a licensed massage therapist in 2012 and earned a master’s degree in traditional oriental medicine in 2015.

Since then, Brent has treated athletes at Core Fitness Chicago, patients at the Community Acupuncture Clinic of the Chicago Healing Center and recovering addicts at Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center as well as a variety of clients in his private practice.

Today, Brent will tell you that his body functions at a much higher level than it did when he stepped off the soccer field years ago. He is proud to be able to provide the same kind of results to his patients: reduced pain, increased range of motion, and the freedom to enjoy the activities they love.
